Weekly Update - Week of 4/8/2024

Good afternoon everyone,

Praise God, it looks like spring weather is heading our way! As we speed toward the last weeks of the school year, please continue to tune in to these "weekly update" messages; the schedule can become quite hectic around here in April and May.

-Tiger Cub Care Sign-Up

3 more Tiger Cub Care sign-ups for the year! Please enter all care needed for the last 2 weeks of April by Thursday, April 11! The other sign-ups are there as well if you can finish out the year!

-School Health Update

We continue to battle a particularly stubborn strain of strep throat. Even if your child tests positive and receives antibiotics, please keep an eye on them and make sure that the treatment is effective. Several students and adults went through a treatment of common antibiotics (usually Amoxicillin) and still had the infection afterward; they then needed a course of more potent antibiotics. Feel free to let your doctor know that information if your child tests positive for strep.

-"Camping in the Commons"

We successfully spent our first weekend of worship in the school Commons! Everything went quite well. We pray that you consider joining us each weekend to praise our almighty God: Saturdays at 5:15 and Sundays at 8:00 or 10:30, all in the Commons during our church renovation project.

-Call Update

We thank God that Mr. Luke Zeamer has decided to accept our Call to serve as 4th-grade teacher beginning next school year! We will welcome his family to the area from Arizona this coming summer.

-Yearbook Orders

Did you miss the deadline for ordering a yearbook? You can still order! The cost of the yearbook is now $16 and you are not able to update with add-ons, but there is still a small window to get your 2023-2024 yearbook! Visit www.harmann.com/ordering and enter "EMANYB" for the school code.

-"Thank You" from Mrs. D

Thank you to all who participated in our Early Childhood Track ‘n’ Field Night! We had 23 competitors and over 90 people in attendance! A big thank you to our volunteers—Pastor Dorn, Mrs. Dorn, Ruth Dorn, Leah Dorn, Cyndy Schulz, Jane Verhagen, Miss April, Miss Ashley, Ms. Duciaume, Mrs. Jensen, Ken Krause, Cooper Duciaume, Oliver Fuerstenau, Jason Berg, Gunnar Bain, Mark Dobberstein, Carson Dobberstein, Jacoby Dobberstein, and Cutter Dobberstein!

As always, I pray that you and your families have a blessed week in God's grace!

In Christ,
Bill Fuerstenau, Principal
