Sunday School - End of Year

Dear Parents, Sunday, May 21st will be the last day of Sunday School until the fall. We hope that your children have enjoyed their time with us and have learned a lot about God's love and teachings. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for entrusting us with the spiritual education of your children. It has been a blessing and a joy to work with each and every one of them. Your support and encouragement have been greatly appreciated, and we are grateful for your commitment to your children's spiritual growth. As we wrap up this school year, we encourage you to continue nurturing your children's faith at home and to continue to attend church services regularly. We look forward to seeing you all again in the fall when Sunday School resumes. Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your children's spiritual journey. May God continue to bless you and your family. Blessings to each of you, Emanuel Sunday School Team

Decisions - Bible Study for Women

Decisions, decisions! Life is full of decisions. Every day we must make choices. Some are easy. Others, because of their possible ramifications, are terribly difficult. Together we will see how sin has complicated our ability to make wise choices. We will see how our freedom in Christ impacts (or can impact) our decisions. Our goal will be to let God work through His Word to equip us to reach decisions that reflect our faith in Christ. This four-week class will begin on June 6, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, in the Community Room. Please call or email the Emanuel office to register.

"Keeper's of the Kingdom: The Armor of God"—2023 Vacation Bible School

Image
Today's young generation is engaged in a significant struggle for their hearts and minds. They are constantly being fed misinformation about their identity, their Creator, and the source of their salvation. Thankfully, God has given his children armor to withstand the battle between truth and lies, light and darkness, and good and evil. Through this year's VBS, your children will learn how they can be a part of God's kingdom through salvation in His Son. Additionally, they will be equipped with the armor of God, enabling them to become "Keepers of the Kingdom" who can withstand the trials of the present-day battle for truth. The topic for this year's Vacation Bible School is "The Armor of God: Keepers of the Kingdom," brought to you by Answers VBS. VBS will take place from June 26 to 30, with each session running from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Our primary objective is to prepare children to thrive in today's society. To register your child(ren), pleas

Teacher Farewell - Sunday, May 21

Image
Please join us to say "Well done, good and faithful servants" to two of our outgoing teachers! On Sunday, May 21, we will celebrate Mrs. Cynthia Koehler and Mrs. Sarah Osterman. Mrs. Koehler will be retiring after 43 years in the public ministry, while Mrs. Osterman will be pursuing other opportunities outside of the public ministry after serving at Emanuel for three years. An acknowledgment of their service will take place during the 10:30 church service on 5/21. Following that service, our Emanuel School Board will host a potluck luncheon to celebrate their respective ministries. School Board will provide the main course, dessert, and water; they ask that anyone who is willing and able bring a hot or cold side dish to pass. We hope to see many of you as we say "farewell" to these faithful servants of Christ!

You Missed the Fine Arts Fair 2023

Image
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Fine Arts Fair last Friday! The turnout was amazing and we were blown away by the support from our congregation and school community. The event was a huge success, with instrumental solos, group songs, and forensics presentations all taking center stage. But the real stars of the show were the students themselves, who put on one of the best performances of the year! We were so proud to see our students showcase their talents and creativity, and it was truly inspiring to see the passion and dedication they brought to every performance and piece of artwork. We also wanted to share a quote from one of our parents who attended the event: "I was absolutely amazed by the talent and skill on display at the Fine Arts Fair. It's clear that these students have worked incredibly hard, and their dedication and passion for music and the arts is truly impressive." Thanks again to everyone who came out to support our
