Weekly Update - Week of 4/29/2024

Here is your update for the week; only four weeks to go:

-Important Dates

-School Health Update

Pink eye continues to present itself at school. Please also be aware that, as we near the end of the school year, student mental health bears watching. The anticipation of leaving the extremely structured days of the school year can cause anxiety and uncertainty in children; maintaining some of that throughout the summer can help.

-Call News

Mr. Luebke continues to hold his Call to Kingdom Prep in Wauwatosa, WI. Continue to pray for him and his family, and if you haven't yet, consider letting him know what a blessing he is to Emanuel!

-Fast Direct Convenience Fee

You may recall that a few months ago, the Emanuel School Board voted to add the online convenience fee for Fast Direct transactions to the transactions themselves. This will take effect THIS WEEK on Wednesday, May 1. When you pay online, you will notice the fee added to your total. If you would like to avoid paying the convenience fees, you may pay balances on Monday or Tuesday online, or you may pay at any time in the office with cash or check.

-K-4 Field Day

K-4 Field Day is fast approaching! We still need milk jugs for one of the events; those may be dropped off with Miss Stahmann or in the school office. We also need YOU! If you are available on May 17 from 12:35-2:30, please consider signing up using the link below. It is a blast!

-Teacher Appreciation Week

We know you appreciate your teachers, and in a week, you will have an opportunity to show it! Your child should have brought home a sheet of paper with details regarding Teacher Appreciation Week at Emanuel. Please consider taking part in as many of the special activities as you are comfortable. All of these will take place on May 6-10.

-Last Day Picnic

The last day of school, Friday, May 24, is scheduled as a half-day of school. There will be NO BUS on that day. Parents/guardians are invited to join us for a picnic lunch beginning at 11:00, which is free to all and includes hot dogs and hamburgers. Weather permitting, we will eat outside. If you and your children are not planning to stay for lunch, you should plan to pick them up at 11:00. Note that the school day ends at 11:00, so parents should plan to arrive at Emanuel at 11:00 whether they are planning to eat or not. Use the survey link below to indicate your decision so that our kitchen staff can plan accurately for food.

In Christ,
