 Below is your update for this week, and there are a few important points so please read all the way through.

-Tiger Cub Care Sign-up

Time to sign up once again! Please enter your care needed for February 12-23. Please note there is no bus on the 19th. Also, Lent Worship begins on Ash Wednesday, 2/14, and following Wednesdays 3:30 and 7:00 pm.

-School Health Update

Emanuel is in the grips of quite an influenza wave right now, both for students and staff alike. Symptoms are a persistent fever of at least 102, headache, sore/scratchy throat, and body aches. The stomach virus has mostly petered out, but keep an eye out for flu-like symptoms, because they are hitting hard and fast and sticking around for about a week.

-Forensics

Practices are underway, and we have 15 members on our team! We will continue practice during the school day. Parents of forensics students, please review the informational letter below for performance dates.

-No School Days

Remember that there is NO SCHOOL on Thursday or Friday this coming week due to the teachers attending a conference in Oshkosh.

-Spirit Week/Pep Rally

Our basketball seasons are winding down, which means the tournaments are on the horizon. Our B-teams will participate in their tournament on Saturday, February 10, and the A-teams on Saturday, February 17. Between those tournaments is Spirit Week, which is full of fun in support of our student-athletes. Throughout the week, we will have a coin war. Grades will team up to bring in a specific denomination of coins each day. Once the totals are added up, the team that brought in the most will win! The money will go toward our mission this year of supporting the church start-up in Kronenwetter, WI. We also will have games up on the stage where classes can compete to win the coveted Spirit Award. Finally, each day will feature its own dress-up theme: Monday is Pajama Day; Tuesday is Class Color Day; Wednesday is Dress-Like-a-Teacher Day; Thursday is Crazy/Mismatch Day; Friday is Emanuel/Tiger Day, and will also be our pep rally. More detailed information will come out about this fun week on Monday, February 5, so stay tuned!

-Lenten Meals Beginning Soon

Tiger Cub Care and our 3K and 4K students and families will be serving the Lenten Supper between services on Ash Wednesday, 2/14. What a great way to show love on Valentines’ Day!
