The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra - Save the Date

Image
The Lutheran Ceili Orchestra will be leading worship at Emanuel on Sunday, March 13, at the 8 & 10:30 AM services with authentic instruments, songs, and hymns. The entire worship service is based on the traditions, writings, and music of the earliest Christians in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

Join the Emanuel Prayers Team

Image
For almost ten years, a group of Emanuel members has met to pray each Thursday evening.  As we look back over those years, we have come to realize the everyday miracles that our faithful God has provided.  Please come and join our ministry team—come as often as you are able.  Each week, we study the passages to be used in our weekly worship services as the basis for our prayers. The group meets each Thursday, from 4-5 pm in the Community Room.

Emanuel Blood Drive

Image
The next blood drive will be on Wednesday, March 2, from 12 - 5pm.  To schedule your appointment, call Beth at (920)982-7544, go to donate.communityblood.org , or call the CBC at (920)738-3131.   As this will be Ash Wednesday, the drive will be held in the community room rather than the church basement.   *Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, and YOU could help.

The Season of Lent is Coming...

Image
Do you sometimes feel “crushed”? In a broken world, it is simply a matter of time before we feel crushed. This is why we need Lent. Sin is the ultimate source of all the crushing moments within life, and our sin even crushed Christ. Yet on Easter Sunday morning, Jesus took up his life again and crushed both death and the serpent’s head. Yes, Lent is a solemn season. But it is also a season of great hope.

"Starting Point" Bible Basics Class

Image
"Starting Point" is Emanuel's Bible basics course taught by Pastor Marcus Schulz, Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. A new class kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 22. We spend a few minutes each night finding the foundations of our faith and discussing how these teachings apply to our lives.  Have you ever asked yourself, “how well do I know the basics of the Bible?” “How well do I know what my kids are being taught about God in School?” “How can I get better motivated to attend worship and bible class?” or, “How can I learn God’s direction for my life and my family?” We’ve got the answer for you! We invite everyone: new members, long-time members, teenagers, grandparents, and everyone in between. This course will be available both in person, and online via Facebook Live - go to  Facebook.com/emanuelnl Registering in advance by contacting the office at 920-982-5444 is encouraged, however, walk-ins are welcome. Childcare will be provided upon request.
